The waterphone waits….

These past months I have been trying to slowly build a waterphone from steel. It has been a tough go, as I try to learn each necessary skill along the way. I ran out of access to the metal shop at the NYSS and so I’m working to figure out how to weld the last few prongs on to complete my waterphone. I am aware that it looks like a cake made by a brutalist architect. But will it sound like one?
